If don't have a good handle on philosophy and science, a solid knowledge of history and formal logic, along with a healthy dose of skepticism, you will unlikely be able to  construct and defend a logical and bias-free case to support any opinion you have. Your opinions will be little more than a reflection of your social environment -  overflowing with biases
